My Beloved,
Why do you find it easier to forgive others over yourself? Why do you continue to carry the weight of shame from past mistakes and wrongs?
Shame weighs you down when you are meant to live free.
Shame is a weapon the enemy uses to keep you running from Me instead of to Me. Shame lies to you and tells you that you're not worthy, valuable, or lovable. It tells you to hide and not let others in. Beloved, don't believe the lie. Tune your ear to My voice of truth and refuse to listen when shame calls your name.
For shame was finished at the cross.
Beloved, do you know what kept Me focused while the enemy paraded about mocking me, jeering me, and throwing insults at Me while I shamefully hung exposed on the cross? You, My beloved one, you.
You were the joy the Father set before me. You were my focus, not the shame of that moment. You were the one I was thinking about when I scorned shame, and proclaimed, "IT IS FINISHED."
Oh, beloved, it's time to take shame you're still carrying back to the cross. It's time to run free by forgiving yourself for things I've already forgiven you for.
Forgive yourself, receive My grace, and let it go. Scorn shame, and leave it where it belongs ... at the cross.
Shame does not belong to you anymore.
All My Love, Jesus
Therefore we also, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which so easily ensnares us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
